Landon Cole

Landon Cole is here, he is almost 3 weeks old! He has definitely changed our lives forever and we are loving being parents. He makes us laugh everyday!

On June 20th, Father's Day I woke up around 4 am to contractions. I had been dealing with contractions the day before so I went back to bed and tried to get some more rest.

Around 6 am, I woke up because I had some gifts for John for Father's Day since I had not gotten him much for his birthday I wanted to make up for it and buy him somethings. I was having more contractions and they were getting stronger and closer together.

John woke up and saw his presents and I told him how I was feeling and told him to go ahead and call the doctor's office. They called me back and I told them what had been going on so they told me to come to the hospital.

John had his morning coffee and I got a shower and got ready. We arrived at the hospital around 8:00 am. I was sent back to the triage, examined by the doctor on call and after he read that I was scheduled for a c-section later that week, he told us that he could ahead with the c-section in a hour or so.

While John got in touch with his parents and my parents, I was prepped for the c-section. I didn't have time to nervous or scared. They worked really quickly on me which I was so thankful for!

About a hour later, I was in the operating room, received a spinal block and was ready to go. John came in and at 11:21 am, Landon Cole was born!

Landon was quickly cleaned up and John cut his umbical cord. While they were fixing me back together, Landon went to the nursery and John met our parents.

Overall, the c-section was smooth and my recovery has been great!

The stay in the hosptial was excellent! All of the nurses and doctors were so nice to us, I didn't really want to go home!

We stayed until Wednesday at the hosptial and came home that afternoon.
