Nursery Updates

There has not been any progress on the nursery. We did clean out closets and threw away a bunch of junk last weekend.

The wallpaper border is still up in spots, but I am hoping the furniture will be moved out soon so I can get around to getting the border off.

I am totally undecided on what colors to paint the room and the theme. I really wanted a crib set from Gap but they discontinued it and I haven't found anything similiar I like.

I feel like there is so much to do but I don't know when it will get done! I guess soon enough!

23 weeks and Updates...

I am 23 weeks today and I am doing great!

Had a appt this week and another ultrasound to check out the baby's spine since she could not see it before and he was laying on his stomach first so she got a good look at it and everything is fine.

He is 1 lb 6 ozs!! Big boy!

Heartburn is a everyday thing now. I had heartburn before I got pregnant but this is different. It is hurts wayyyy worse now.

Back pain occurs a lot but it depends are how I am sitting.

And yes my ankles, feet, and calves are still swelling. I always forget to put them up to get the swelling down.

22 weeks!

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

21 weeks!

Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

Goodbye ankles...

I have had swollen ankles, feet, and calves for a week now and last night it was really bad so I decided to take the day off and go to the doctor.

I was really worried about it last night from reading from the internet. But the dr. was not concerned with it. She told me to keep my feet up and keep hydrated as much as possible.

I can deal with swollen ankles and back pain not with feeling sick. It is a trade off I will glady take!

20 weeks!

Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed
