14 weeks!

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

Maternity clothes? I am on the hunt for them, still! Gotta a baby band(aka cheaper bella band) it is ok, can't really figure the best way to use it.

Sleep: I am sleeping though the night without having to get up and eat when always turned in getting sick because I had never to eat.

Best moment this week: Just making it through the week without throwing up.

Baby's now the size of a peach!
Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords...savor this, their nonfunctional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with his head now only one third the size of his body. And intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy -- much more convenient.

12 weeks!

As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of her systems are fully formed.

Meet my sweet pea!

11 weeks!

Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through it. But fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds, and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

I made it two days so far...

without throwing up! This morning I almost did but I was determined to not let it happen.

I am hoping this trend will continue!!!!!!!

I have the sweetest husband... EVER!

This weekend I wanted more than anything to put up Christmas decorations.Although Thursday was a good day and Friday was ok. I still felt really bad this weekend. Our annual tradition of getting a Christmas tree would have to wait. We decided to go next weekend instead.

My husband went out and came back with a Christmas tree! I cried and bawled like a baby when I saw it in the back of his truck when he pulled up. The tree is perfect! We decorated it and now our house is all cozy for the holidays!! It made me feel 100% better!

I survived Thanksgiving!!!

I survived it! I was so dreading it because of the food, the smells, the sights. But all and all it was good. It was actually nice to have good food to eat, not crackers or jello. Other than having heartburn, I made it through. Two meals!

10 weeks!!

Baby's now the size of a prune!
With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will start working too.)

8 weeks!

Baby's now the size of a raspberry!
Baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs, and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.

1st Dr. Appt

I had my first dr. appt. We got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat! It was so amazing.

Everything looked good. The heartbeat was 136 which signs point to a boy which is great!

My next appt is on December 3rd!

Hello Sickness

I haven't updated in a while because I have been very sick. I am pretty much sick all day and all night. I am trying to remain positive but it gets hard when you feel like you could puke at any time.

I have tried about everything to eat and really nothing works. It is like each day is different. I have tried a prescription that my Dr. gave me to ease it and it is working.

I feel bad for taking medicine but I can't help it. I really can't function without it.

6 weeks!

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.

My First Baby Gift

I got my first baby gift from my friend Mary! It is from my alma mater!I can't stop smiling at it. It is so precious! Thanks Mary!

5 weeks!

I can't believe I have a blog about being pregnant. It is defintely a blessing and dream come true for both of us.

I have been feeling pretty good, a little tired, bloated, and sick on my stomach but other than that I am feeling pretty good.

It is hard to keep such a big blessing to yourself. But we wanted to go ahead and tell our families. So we told John's family this weekend. Of course, they are beyond thrilled.

Next weekend we are going to tell my parents!

I'm Pregnant!

After 12 months, many tears and frustrations, I AM PREGNANT!

It is so surreal. I always thought about this day coming but it is finally here! I can't believe it!
